Highland Prep West Students Earn Prestigious RECF Industry Certification

Highland Prep West Students Reach Major Milestone in Engineering Mastery

Five standout students from Highland Prep West have reached a major milestone by successfully completing the RECF Engineering Industry Certification. The students, Anthony Bernal, Aidan Chacon, Owen Davis, Efuet Fondungallah, and Michael Sullivan, achieved this distinction through a rigorous, two-step process. Building on the momentum of their first exam success in November, these students have now passed the second critical assessment, officially certifying their expertise in high-level STEM competencies. This achievement highlights the students' personal dedication and the high caliber instruction provided by the faculty at Highland Prep West.

The Robotics Education & Competition (REC) Foundation developed this certification program to address the global demand for skilled professionals in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. To receive the full credential, students must first pass the Fundamentals of Engineering exam before choosing specialized modules to secure their certification. By earning these credentials, these five students have not only validated their expertise but also significantly enhanced their competitive edge for college admissions and career opportunities. The RECF program is vital in preparing the next generation for the STEM fields, and we are excited to see how these STEM leaders will shape the future of engineering. Their success serves as a powerful example of how Highland Prep West is preparing the next generation of innovators to lead in an increasingly technical global economy.
