Hello,

I am Melissa Wilson, and I am super excited to be a part of the Hornet Family. I am originally from New Jersey where I started my journey to become a teacher. I completed my Bachelor’s degree at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, and eventually ended up in Arizona, where I pursued my first teaching position.

I have taught mathematics for 10 years and have enjoyed making learning relatable and fun by using hands-on learning experiences with real-world relationships. These have made math come alive in my classroom.

This year, I am excited to start my new adventure here at Highland Prep West as an Academic Coach. I am eager to help students succeed in all subjects and explore all the possibilities that await them after high school.
