Mr. Sean Trumper is an Arizona native. He was born in Tucson and raised in phoenix since he was 2 years old. He attended the University of Arizona in Tucson where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Biochemistry in 2012. After graduating Mr. Trumper worked in a clinical laboratory doing research into the early detection of breast cancer. While he enjoyed the work, he realized his true passion was to be an educator. Mr. Trumper comes from a long line of educators. His mother, grandmother, grandfather, and great grandmother were all career educators. Mr. Trumper taught organic chemistry at Grand Canyon University for four years before joining Highland Prep West in January 2026 as a chemistry instructor. He is excited to be part of the highland Prep West team and is looking forward to inspiring young minds in the field of chemistry. In his free time, Mr. Trumper enjoys playing basketball, spending time with his three nieces and mentoring students who wish to attend graduate level programs.
